  1. The thickness of the wetsuit neoprene in millimeters.

    3/2 = 3mm+2mm. The area around the torso may be 3mm thick to provide warmth and the area around the arms and legs is 2mm to provide flexibility.

    same goes for 4/3. generally, the thicker the wetsuit, the warmer it is. but most importantly, a wetsuit must fit properly. if it doesnt fit well, it wont keep u warm at all even though if u r in a 7mm wetsuit. so make sure it fits snugly.


  2. It is the thickness in millimeters of the suit/skin.  so the higher the number, the thicker the neoprene....to keep you warmer.
