Withdrawing a lump sum from hsbc in UK?

Question

i am hoping to buy a motorbike on wednesday and i need to withdraw 3k.can you just turn up and ask for it?if yes what do you need, i have never done this before!

if a checking account a check -- if a savings account your pass  book and of course picture id!!!  good riding on your bike!!!
