Within The Upper Levels Of Y/Answers...?

Do you think there are some who are greedy for stars and points?

What is your view on this?

I admit that I've always been obsessed with points, but I didn't really care about the stars until I reached level seven.  Before reaching level seven, I almost never asked questions unless they were Homework Help questions or stuff like that.  After I reached level seven, I started asking more questions... easier to answer questions, and I started getting stars.  

I highly doubt there are many level 6 and 7 users here solely for the points, though... most of those are level one and two users who answer questions by saying, "I don't know." Most level six and seven users do care about how many points they get, but they're also here to have fun, make friends, and help others.  I'm with the majority.

Yes a lot of people are extremely greedy and care more about there own points then actually helping people.

Totally.

I w***e myself out every other weekend, purely for points and stars. This weekend has been especially profitable, as it's been a three day w***e-for-points fest.

Actually, I think that occurs more on the LOWER levels... seeing those with "Thanks for the 2 points" answers.

I'm level 7, but still have a 22% Best Answer rating... I have taken HOURS at times researching answers to those in the Hobbies & Crafts or Rail or Home & Garden sections.

I use Polls and Survey's to eat up time while waiting for good REAL questions.
