I once worked for a couple for whom I was supposed to be working on orders but the wall file holders, where they were supposed to be located, were generally empty. Often, after asking, they'd manage to pull a single order out of thin air. I don't know if they were overly disorganized or if their business was horrible. With them I apparently could do little right.

  1. working at a department store,

being ridiculed for not doing my job when i was doing it better than most and i never called in sick unlike others.

that's okay. I told them off, gave them my two week notice and left after four years.

  2. WALMART. period.

  3. screwed by the boss in more ways than one.... quit after that.

  4. I used to be employed as a speculum inspector, but I missed a few and it led to disaster.

  5. I was a proctologist's do boy in teh summertime once

  6. When I was 31 and in a financial pinch, I took a job as a pizza delivery boy (on a 50cc scooter), but on my assessment night I was told to go shotgun seat with someone who was delivering by car. Turned out he was about 17 and into screeching tyres, handbrake turns, 'drifting' round corners, the lot. After less than two miles I jumped out and barfed (in the parking lot of a church). The manager offered me a free pizza when I went home. I had to say "Sorry, don't feel like it."

That was 3 hours. The shortest I lasted in a job was one hour, which was telesales at Anglia Windows. I got up and walked out.

  7. Since I have moved to Arizona and started looking for a job (I had my own business, like forever) I have had a series of jobs that I consider to be hilariously horrible. I had one paving company hire me as a truck driver, the boss drove me out 60 miles into the desert and dropped me off and told me to start digging a ditch. Seriously. I had another company hire me as a dispatcher, and the boss comes in, gives me a list of my duties, and at the top it said "Fix The Bosses Coffee", lol. I had another job at a factory, and went through training and everything was okay, then they put me in a room that was smaller than a closet with c**p falling off the ceiling. I have had twenty jobs since I moved here, and every single one is c**p, horrible nightmare c**p. I  hate Arizona, lol

  8. as a cashier at a convenience store my boss was jerk and he would yell at all of us  belittle us like we are beneath him I am so glad I don't work there anymore

  9. I used to work in a wholesale warehouse and did all kinds of weird odd jobs. One of them involved unwrapping new urinal pucks, putting them into plastic puck holders and sealing them shut with a hot knife.

Now - I have had to change grease traps on occasion, done farm labor in the Iowa heat and humidity, and done various sundry dirty jobs in my career - but knowing that I breathed molten plastic and urinal puck fumes so guys could pee on them - well, my pride is immeasurable!
