Britain is a valuable ally, but I'm afraid you're overstating it by leaps and bounds. Of course without the Americans, the Brits would be speaking German. As would the French, the Poles, Italians, Portuguese, Spanish... so on and so forth.

what! 90 percent of people over in the UK speak anything other than english.  Arabic Hindi Farsi Urdustani kazakstani polish czech ect ect. and s**+'t loads of chinese dialects and provincial languages not forgetting bengali and about 20 different languages from the indian sub continent.  Oh but it was ok when your lot were enslaving and invading countries that couldnt defend themselves any wonder most jamicans suck their teeth and tut when they hear an british accent, but hear an irish one they buy them a drink.  By the way any language other than the first nations native tongue is a foreign language in the states. arabic english no difference.

Edit again, I've just realised I completely misread the question - no the Americans wouldn't be speaking Arabic by now, as far as I can see somebody was trying to make us all sit & pay attention, I think they succeeded.  America is too vast to contemplate invasion or a prolonged war with.  British input is neither here nor there, the American army are the invasion squad & the British army are the clean up crew.

Not every Muslim speaks Arabic, the Koran is in Arabic & there is a prohibition on translating it, every Muslim learns the Koran in Arabic that doesn't mean a successful invasion force would be exclusively Arabic speaking or be capable of speaking it in a conversational fashion but I suppose that's another subject to be debated.

Why the h**l does every American think we would be speaking German if it wasn't for them? IT SIMPLY ISNT TRUE. Hitler didn't dare invade Britain because he knew out Navy would blow him out of the water, instead he sent over aload of planes - they had a small fight called the BATTLE OF BRITAIN. Which we won...

Hitlers plans to invade Britain were stalled, Russia provided a distraction from the East, Germany were already stretched with forces in each direction and with Russia attacking Hitler and his attempt to take out the RAF failed, he put back the plans to invade Britain indefinitely.

Next America HELPED Britain (AND lots of others I can't be bothered to go into detail here for the purposes of this response), mount a counter attack into German occupied countries from the West, while Russia attacked from the East.

Yea I know what you mean the Americans do not have their own language.  They speak ENGLISH ( Mainly). You would think that they would have made an attempt to speak the native American Indian language. But since they stole the Indians land & wiped most of them out in a genocide I suppose there are  very few native american indians left to teach the immigrants thier langusage.

P.S......I think we finished paying the Americans back for thier help in WW2 in the 1980's. It was not FREE help it cost us a **** load of money with lots of intrest.
