Wizard of Oz Fans... Bathroom Theme

Question

I want to do my spare bathroom with a Wizard of Oz theme... I have a garbage pail.. and bought some postcards and pictures for the walls. I am struggling with the wall paint color. I was thinking of doing it "Yellow Brick Road" color.. but.. not real convinced on that.. rethinking maybe I will just use yellow carpets.. better visual.. for "road" .. what wall color should I go with.. I have to make the shower curtain and window curtain.. there is nothing out there already made.. but there is fabric I can buy.... any other ideas? thanks for anything you can offer....

You could really paint the walls any color(even white) and then put up a border of the wizard of oz, which you could get at a craft store or online

Emerald colored walls

Yellow shower curtain - try to find decorative poppy-styled hooks.

I wouldn't go TOO crazy in a bathroom or it may become very kitchy!!

Keep the message a little subliminal but add a couple of small Wizard of Oz pictures, nicely framed, to your walls.

You could add a little ruby into the space with accents - soap dish etc.,

If you TRULY want to go overboard:

mural a poppy field onto one wall and go for a yellow floor (hand painting a yellow brick road onto a long canvas, polyeurithane it and popping it on your floor is a cheap, fun way to create the look but is removable if it gets too much for you!).

If you use the yellow carpet I think the walls would like great with green on the bottom and and blue up top.  In the movie, there were always vibrant green and blue colors.  The green can represent the grass and bushes and trees, and blue of course for the sky.  Hope this helped!!!

I'm thinking yellow tile on your floor. Maybe you could find a poster to put up?

And make sure to include the Wicked Witch somehow!
