Wladimir Klitschko: As a former world champion David Haye is a disgrace – Boxing News
Dr. Steelhammer Wladimir Klitschko maintains that David Haye’s behaviour is a disgrace to the sport since he is a former world champion. Both the brothers, Vitali and Wladimir, have repeatedly condemned Haye’s and Chisora’s behaviour. However, now it seems
like Wladimir has gone the extra mile to ensure his denouncement towards the Haye vs. Chisora is heard loud and clear.
Currently, Wladimir is in London, promoting his biographical movie, yet he is not missing out on any opportunity to talk about Haye and Chisora. When asked about his thoughts regarding Haye, the WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion said, “I don’t even want
to talk about Haye. As a former world champion, the way he has behaved is disgraceful and he should know better. As for Dereck Chisora, it is not for me to deny him a second chance, but it’s not OK to slap an opponent at the weigh-in, to spit in his brother’s
face in the ring, to brawl in front of the world’s media and then threaten to shoot and burn your rival.”
He was then asked if he feels respected whenever he is in the UK, and he replied, “Every time my brother and I come to Britain, we can feel the respect. The people are supportive and they have class.”
Wladimir was asked if Chisora is along the same lines of Mike Tyson and he replied that this is a joke because you cannot compare both of them. According to Wladimir, Tyson was the baddest man on the planet and he achieved a lot. He added that Tyson had
knocked out 42 of his opponents ‘before he started biting people’s ears’. He called Tyson a winner and said that Chisora has lost his last three fights and that Chisora is a mess who can never be compared to Tyson.
Lastly, Wladimir added that Chisora and Haye both are sending the wrong message to the young generation with their misbehaviour and disobedience towards fellow fighters and commissions such as the WBC and the BBBC, since both the organisations have condemned
their match. For now, Wladimir thinks there is no chance of Haye getting a shot at his brother Vitali Klitschko for the world heavyweight title.
