Wladimir Klitschko: David Haye will not get Vitali without a BBBofC License – Boxing News
Wladimir Klitschko, the current WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion, maintains that David Haye will not face his brother Vitali Klitschko until he gets a BBBofC license. Wladimir, who previously said that Haye is not worthy of fighting Vitali, still maintains
that Haye needs to renew his license with the BBBofC if he wants to take a shot at Vitali.
Earlier this week, Wladimir stated that Haye had turned down a fight contract against his brother last year. According to Dr. Hammersteel, Haye turned down the contract to fight against Vitali and now there is no chance of Haye getting in the ring with him.
Wladimir maintained, “There is nothing that could be made. First of all David Haye was officially retired, he didn’t have a license so there couldn’t be any conversation. With David Haye, we have been handling a lot for many years, we’ve heard a lot of nonsense
and lies. And right now, he’s actually getting ready for the Chisora fight.”
When asked about the fight between Dereck Chisora and David Haye taking place in London without being sanctioned by the BBBC, Wladimir said, “It’s actually really surprising to me that this fight is happening on British soil. I don’t want to promote this
fight, but it’s happening and I have to make my statement. It’s sending a bad message: that the worse you behave, the more money you’re going to get and you will get known. It’s not the right way to do it.”
Last week, Vitali Klitschko condemned the fight between Haye and Chisora, calling it a ‘freak show with freak rules’. However, it seems like the fight has acquired public attention enormously. Dereck Chisora collected his Luxembourg license yesterday and
now he is officially a member of the board. On the other hand, BBBC has warned officials not to take part in the event. According to the BBBC and WBC, anyone who participates in the event will have his license revoked. The warning was issued for managers,
fighters and promoters, since Chisora got his license cancelled from the BBBC was misbehaving with Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye.
