The Ring Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko showed his appreciation towards the Brit boxer. According to Wladimir, David Price’s career’s eleventh career victory was impressive.
In his recent interview, knockout specialists Wladimir came up saying, “I heard about the fight Saturday night (against Sam Sexton) and he tremendously knocked his opponent out. David Price and Tyson Fury are doing good jobs, they are young, up-and-coming
fighters that are true heavyweights and they are actually knocking the guys out.”
Also known as Dr. Steelhammer, Wladimir Klitschko currently stands with 50 knockouts in portfolio. He has fought 57 bouts to date. Wladimir, the younger brother of Vitali Klitschko, is currently one of the toughest pugilists to face.
David Price knocked out Sam Sexton in the fourth round on Saturday night at the Aintree racecourse to grab the vacant BBBC British heavyweight title. After the bout, Price stated that he wants to go smoothly to the top and he does not want to rush with things.
When asked if he wants to take on the Klitschko brothers, Price said, “I am not in any rush, but if I keep developing, it could be within 18 months.”
For now, David Price has made it clear that he will not opt for the Klitschko brothers so soon. He is finding his next opponent but all major fighters of his calibre are already scheduled. When asked if Price can face Tyson Fury, Price’s manager revealed
that Fury is not interested in a fight with Price. To clarify the statement, Price recorded that he and Fury have always been rivals. According to Price, Fury gave up his titles just to avoid facing him in the ring. Price believes that since Fury takes him
as his rival, he will never face him in the ring.
Price added that he will go to the USA if the need is in order to stage his next fight, as most domestic opponents are already busy. In addition, he said that he wants to be on Khan’s undercard.
