YOU DECIDE- I got to keep it real here, that was one of the weakest performances I have ever seen from a guy that had ridiculous advantages in hight, weight and reach.........................

But I don't why I'm surprised, Wlad Klitschko is the same fighter that has 3 KNOCK-OUT LOSSES ON HIS RECORD, THAT'S RIGHT FOLKES THIS CHAMP HAS BEEN KNOCKED OUT 3 TIMES- CHECK IT!........................................

I guess that's why he throws his jab almost pulling away from his opponent, and swats the opponents hand down when being jabbed, this guy is terrified of being knocked out AGAIN!

His management has deliberately kept him away from fighting any rematches or new fights with any fighters that would come close to possibly beating him........................................

YOU SAY WELL WHO IS OUT THERE?- NOT MUCH!...............

And you are right, but he could have fought much better competition over the last 3 years.

  1. I posted a question while watching that garbage of a ''fight''!! Thats how much I think of  Dr. Lamehammer and his abilitys. He is a modern day Primo Carnera. But at least Carnera would fight! Klitschko has no chin and could have taken out Ibrigamov  at any time like Lewis kept saying throughout the fight. I bet Lennox was drooling at the thought of getting back in the ring to kick  Dr. Lamehammer's a.s.s.!!!!

The heavyweights are pathetic right now and at a  time when Wlad is considered the best u expect the ''best'' to prove it by smashing a smaller less experienced fighter.

Instead he would rather hold hands, wrestle like it was an M.M.A. fight and get booed unmercifully by the fans. What a pathetic joke of a fight and anyone that defends Klitschko and thinks he is great knows NOTHING about boxing.

The champ is suppose to be the king of the hill, the man with the battery on his shoulder u are suppose to try and knock off. Not a scared pansy who plays slappy hands and pokes his way to a win.

And now Vitali is talking about wanting to fight for the W.B.C. title because he had a clause when he retired! GREAT! All we need is another Klitschko holding a belt with no true undisputed champion.

  2. Vlad is not one of the greats  but I seem to recall Lennox lewis getting starched by Oliver Mccall and Hasim rahman. Did Lewis so easily dispatch everyone? I also remember Lewis playing it safe throughout his career but few remember that. Vladimir is doing what he can with the competition that he has. As for comparing him with Carnera, thats just ridiculous Carnera was a circus act and didnt have an ounce of the athletic ability Vlad has...As far as the glass jaw, the man ran out of gas against Brewster and purrity not exactly devastating ko's Sanders was a helluva puncher and koed Vlad clean but I would hardly say he has a glass jaw.

  3. I agreed with manny when he said he had no business going 12 rds with that fool

  4. I was disappointed in his performance also.  I agree, he was afraid of getting hit by a wild haymaker.  He played it safe.  But in the heavyweight division, people expect KO's.  He should have taken a chance and delivered.

  5. I agree it was a weak performance. But also it shows the state of the heavyweight division. Being knocked out 3 times doesn't mean as much as it sounds. He has been cracked by some pretty hard hitters in those loses. Brewster and sanders are some pretty hard punchers. But you have to look at the fact that he has never been out-boxed. in those loses they were able to connect with a shot that put him down, not out-box him then KO him. He has had a rematch with brewster. but i do agree that with his talent he should steamroll the division. But now it is gonna be hard because he may get peter in a rematch if peter beats oleg, but only if peter wins oleg and ruslan management would avoid him at all cost.

  6. Boring fight but he did what necessary to win. Why take chance when you are confortably ahead.

  7. It is what it is.  Klitschko has a glass jaw, and he took no chance of getting his chin tested.  His performance came off, not as weak, but as scared, which is worse.  Weakness can be overcome with hard work and courage, but if the heavyweight champion lack's courage, their is a glaring problem with the whole heavyweight division, not just the guy who is reluctant to get tagged on the chin again.

Today's crop of heavyweight fighters are the softest and weakest in the history of the division.  Klitschko is damaged goods, the beating Samuel Peters gave him, left psychological scars, much like the Tarver and Glen Johnson fights did with Roy Jones.  Being gun shy, and afraid to risk exchanges doesn't inspire respect in the general public for Wladimir.  His brother is the best of the current heavyweigths, and odds are good the same thing that is about to happen to Manny Pacquaio against Juan Manuel Marquez in their rematch is going to happen to Wladimir if Peters gets past Maskeav and Klitschko gives Sam a rematch.  Neither Manny nor Wlad lost those fights, but both came away with their confidence shaken.

In defense of Emanuel Steward, he told Klitschko from mid fight on to pick up pace, and tried to get Klitschko to mix it up.  Did his management protect him?....Of course they did, Cory Sanders KOed him for Christ's sake, the guy has a potato chip chin, only Emanuel Steward and God himself got Klitschko past Peters the first time, there is no way other then another act of God that they put him back in the ring against Sam.  Emanuel taught Klitschko the jab as a defensive tool to keep heavy punchers off balance, as a direct attempt to keep them from loading up on the heavy stuff and testing that fragile chin any further.  Emanuel was brilliant hiding Thomas Hearns's questionable chin, and is the best in the business at maximizing his fighters tools while shoring up their weaknesses.

But Emanuel isn't the Wizard of Oz, he can't give a fighter courage.

  8. That is a pretty bold statement with the number of Shlubs that have had a Heavyweight belt in the last decade!
