Wladimir Klitschko’s partner Ola Afolabi says David Haye will lose within seven rounds – Boxing news
Wladimir Klitschko’s chief sparring partner Ola Afolabi believes that the World Boxing Organisation, International Boxing Organisation, International Boxing Federation and the Ring Magazine Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko will prove too much for
the current World Boxing Association’s World Heavyweight Champion David Haye on July 2, 2011.
Afolabi told the media that Wladimir Klitschko, who will take on the Hayemaker, David Haye, in a heavyweight showdown on July 2, 2011 at the Hamburg Football Stadium, has much more punching power and experience as compared to Haye.
The Former Interim World Boxing Organisation’s cruiserweight champion, Afolabi, stated that Haye has talked too much and has successfully got a million-dollar pay day but he does not think Haye would be able to survive against the 6 ft 6.5” Ukrainian pugilist.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “I give it to Haye in that he has talked his way into a multi-million dollar pay day, but for my money, Klitschko wins in seven. You can see his hands in front of you and think you can block the punches. No way.
That jab is something else. It is going to destroy Haye.”
Afolabi added that the 30-year-old, Haye, who has 25 of his 26 fights including 23 by the way of knockout, has mainly fought against easy opponents at the cruiserweight division but against the likes of Klitschko, it is going to be a real deal, as he believes
Klitschko is a deserving heavyweight champion.
“Look at his height, look at his reach. People give Haye much more credit than he deserves. He's fought mainly as a cruiserweight against easy guys. This is going to be a reality check. Wladimir is a legitimate heavyweight,” said Afolabi.
The Wladimir-Haye bout is being considered as one of the biggest in the British boxing history and therefore it should be an absolute classic. However, let’s see if Klitschko, who has won 55 of his 58 fights including 49 by the way of knockout, is able to
see off David Haye or not.
