Wlhich banks give highest %?

which panks give the highest % for the money u have stored there.

Bank of Idaho pays 5.01% APY on their checking account... It's pretty ridiculous!  And they are making very few risky investments :-)

The higher the savings rate at a bank, the riskier the loans the bank is dishing out. I'd be weary of depositing money with a bank paying high interest on deposits. Might be the next IndyMac Bank. Which actually did have attractive high yielding deposit accounts. I rest my case.

Many on line banks do.  In fact you can get a rough idea of how much they are paying in interest on Cd's from the yahoo financial page.  I personally rather do business with a local bank though.

I'm a fan of ING.  They're giving out 3% on savings accounts right now.  I've seen them much higher in the past, though.
