Question:

Wma protected file conversion?

A few years ago I burned 100s of CDs into iTunes for Windows and have managed the library fine. My son (for unknown reasons) batch converted the entire library to WMA Protected format. They still play fine on my windows machine.

The problem is I have converted to an Apple Mac as my main home machine. iTunes for Mac doesn't convert or play WMA protected files. So I need to find a program to batch convert 1000s of songs from WMA Protected format to something iTunes for Mac will play.

1) Recommendations for a program? I’m willing to pay up to around $50.

2) What format is best to save the files to? mp3, mp4, wav, something else?

Thank you!

  1. get tunebite, it's the best tool to remove the drm protection. http://www.tunebite.com/?affiliate=20002...  just convert to mp3 will be the best.

  2. you can try tuneclone audio converter. my friend recommended it to me. it works really nice. it can convert wma music files (including protected) to mp3 files with very high quality at very fast speed.

you can learn more about it from:

    http://www.tuneclone.com

  3. As convert wma protected file, I prefering use Aimersoft AlWMV Converter, which is DRM wma converter software, convert protected wma to mp3, if you want convert wma to mp3 and choose this DRM wma converter and free download. It costs only $19.

As it's said, convert wma to mp3 is the best choose.

  4. As I know,  those protected WMA music has the DRM technology which prevent the customer playing or converting the music with other uncompatible devices.

Free download this professional converter, drag and drop the protected WMA files to it.  (full version cost only 25$)

    http://www.wmatomp3-converter.com/wma-mp...

It can convert both protected and unprotected WMA to MP3 and other audio formats including m4a, ac3, aac, wma, wav, ogg, ape. And extract audio track from DRM WMV and play the original video music on different players such as iPod, PSP, Zune, Creative Zen, Archos etc.
