Wojciech Szczesny believes Arsenal still have the capabilities to compete for Premier League title
Arsenal goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wojciech-Szczesny-c36998 has gone on to state that Arsenal have the capability of competing for the Premier League title and would still be looking to apply pressure on Manchester City for the remainder of the season.
The keeper then went on to talk about the game against Fulham, as he claims that his side went on to apply all the pressure that they possibly could on their opponents, but things just didn’t work out in their favour.
When talking about the game, Szczesny is quoted to have said: “Of course, we’re always disappointed not to get three points”
“ I thought we played well, our attitude was fantastic.”
He then went on to credit Fulham for the way they played the game and went on to highlight the teams defence, which was in exceptional form in the game.
Szczesny then went on to add: “Credit to Fulham, they defended fantastically towards the end and Schwarzer made a few fantastic saves. I think we needed a few more minutes to win the game.”
“It didn't happen though and we can only praise the team spirit. We finished on a high, which hopefully we can take into the next game.”
The draw against Fulham put an end to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429’s five game win streak, but it still maintains the teams ten game unbeaten run.
Arsenal are now looking to be a whole lot stronger than they have looked at any point in the last couple of seasons, which is why many critics have gone on to acknowledge the teams performances and claim that they are more likely to win a trophy this season,
as opposed to any season in the past.
However, there is still a lot of room for improvement in the team, which seems to sit rather well with the fact that the January transfer window is about to open in the near future. Should Arsene Wenger be able to go on and make a number of decent signings,
the Gunners could easily put an end to their trophy drought, which has haunted them for the last couple of seasons.
