Wojciech Szczesny believes Tottenham Hotspur aren’t even half as good as Arsenal
Arsenal goal keeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wojciech-Szczesny-c36998 has gone on to admit that according to him, Tottenham Hotspur aren’t even half as good as Arsenal.
The Gunners shot stopper was part of the Arsenal side that went on to lose by two goals to one at the White Hart Lane last night, but despite that fact, the keeper is standing firm on his assessment about the Spurs.
With Arsenal losing out to their rivals last night, the team has now gone on to suffer four defeats in just seven matches in the Premier League this season. These poor results have seen the Gunners end up in the fifteenth spot and with a two week international
break coming up, the team will have to wait to get back into the top half of the table.
Szczesny feels that Arsenal are still the better team in North London, irrelevant to the claims that the Spurs fans are making, which suggest a shift in the balance of power in the land.
When talking about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and how they are still better than Tottenham, Szczesny is quoted to have said: “You can’t judge or make such a statement after a couple of months, after a poor start to the season or just one game. Spurs are a great club, they
showed today they can play really good football but are they better than Arsenal? I don’t really think so.”
The keeper then admitted that the Gunners really needed to get their minds together and needed to start focusing on their games once again. This is because the team is well behind Manchester United and Manchester City at the moment and if they don’t get
back on track, then they might not be playing in any European competitions next season.
Szczesny then went on to add: “We need to focus on winning every single game now. We have to take it game by game and make sure we stick together and improve our performances. We want to give ourselves the best chance of finishing high up in the table,
gaining top four and possibly fighting for the Championship.”
It is rather amazing to see Arsenal struggling the way they are. The team has not performed this poorly is quite some time and Arsene Wenger, along with the rest of the Gunners squad really need to prove their worth once the international break is over.
Should the team be able to head into the coming year in the top half of the table, they might just be able to break into the top four, once again.
