I have a carbon steel wok. I seasoned it as per instructions but food is sticking to the bottom. It's not only sticking but burning as well. What have I done wrong? Is this one salvagable or should I replace it? Is there a different material woks are made of that is better?

  4. You need to season a wok well.

Heat up the wok and take an oiled paper towel and wipe down the inside.

Also, if you plan to deep fry anything, use the wok as a deep fryer.  That should help season the wok.

What kind of food are you cooking that's sticking?
