  1. A wolf and a German shepherd, like a wolf and any other dog, is NOT a dog, it's a hybrid! And while it may be a beautiful animal, it will still be mostly a WILD animal -- unfortunately not with all of the skills needed for life in the wild. A hybrid, to use an apt analogy, is neither fish nor fowl and this breeding should not take place. It creates an animal not truly suited to be wild OR domestic.

EDIT: I must disagree with your "disagree" ... here are many websites -- all referring to the wolf-dog as a HYBRID!

    And quite a heart-breaker I read here:

  2. German Shepherds are no more closely related to a wolf than any other breed. In fact, German Shepherds are a newer breed compared to some others.

The breeding of wolf dogs is not a good idea. Please, research and educate yourself on these animals. You will see in time how breeding these animals would be a horrible decision.

  3. No, wolves will mate with any dog in heat, and I'm assuming will let any dog mate with them. My boyfriend had to lock up their border collie in the garage until the day of her vet appointment because wolves were coming up to the house.

  4. The husky thing isn't true. We had a wolf/german shepard. He was beautiful. white with one blue eye and one brown. But honestly he was the stupidest dog i ever had. He was a scaredy cat, peed on himself and was scared of everything. I  wish i had a picture to show you he was huge and his name was King. I loved him but he wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box if you know what i mean.

  5. you are absolutely right. I had a friend who owned a purebred German Shepherd who had been impregnated by a wolf. Her puppies were very large and extremely graceful. They were gorgeous adults.
