Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath not writing off his team’s chances against Bayern Munich
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 manager, Felix Magath, is giving his side a chance to achieve something against the title contenders, Bayern Munich, on Saturday. The manager accepted the fact that Bayern will be more dangerous this time around especially after losing out
to Monchengladbach in the opening game.
The tactician has urged his side to play their natural game and not worry about what Munich have to offer. The former Bayern manager reckoned that if his side perform as they did in the opening week victory over Koln, then more misery can be inflicted on
Bayern.
Magath enthused that Die Roten will be extremely hard to beat on Saturday as Jupp Heynckes’ side will be itching to get off the mark in this year’s campaign. He expressed disappointment with Munich’s opening day loss and counted his team unlucky on having
this fixture lined up when they need it the least. He hoped that his team would step up at the right time and even a draw against the Bundesliga giants will be acceptable.
In an interview to a local news channel, the former Bayern Munich manager enthused, "I was not too pleased that they lost against Gladbach. Now they are under even more pressure, which does not make our task any easier. I would like us to play our own game,
take the initiative and take our chances.”
“My team should not just react to what Bayern do, but take the game to them instead. I am really delighted that we got three points against Cologne because Bayern are the top favourite in the Bundesliga. Nevertheless, we still feel we have a chance." He
further added.
Wolfsburg are in a much better shape compared to the last season and therefore stand a good chance against Bayern, according to Magath. He conceded the fact that Jupp Heynckes’ side will be favourites going into Saturday’s encounter but vowed to do his best.
Wolfsburg don’t have any major injury concerns and are likely to go in with the same side that defeated Koln. Bayern will have Franck Ribery back in the starting line-up at the expense of experienced winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521, who has been ruled out with a back
injury.
