Wolfsburg’s Thomas Hitzlsperger delighted with the move; expects to start against Monchengladbach

him but he chose Wolfsburg as he wanted to play with an ambitious club.
The German midfielder had his contract terminated with West Ham United this summer after the Hammers were relegated at the end of the last season. He held talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a possible transfer but eventually
joined Felix Magath’s side in a three-year deal.
Hitzlsperger was elated with the move and admitted that he had been in talks with the manager for some days, negotiating a transfer. He stated that he is finally happy that he has returned to the Bundesliga and is looking forward
to a good season ahead.
“We'd been in contact for a few days and I'd met with Felix Magath. I'm very happy that everything was kept internal until we were able to sort the final details,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The central midfielder praised the team and insisted that the side has some quality players, claiming that they can surely challenge for the honours in the current campaign. He maintained that consistency is the key if the side
has to achieve its goals.
“VfL are an ambitious club with a very good team. I've had success with several clubs [in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904] and that's why I wanted to return. The squad possesses great quality and has real potential. If we can perform consistently, we
will achieve our goals,” he continued.
The German international also expects to be match fit to start against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga clash on Friday. He is eager to debut for the Wolves and wants to prove his metal once again.
“I'm looking forward to my first outing in the VfL jersey. I think I'm fit enough to play,” he concluded.
