Stephen Hunt to undergo hernia operation
It has been reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers winger, Stephen Hunt, is set to undergo a hernia operation which will sideline him for several weeks. The operation comes at a bad time for the Irish international, who had just returned back to action on
Monday after spending over two months sidelined with a calf strain.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy confirmed Hunt had complained of a hernia problem after which it was decided he required an operation. He said while speaking to reporters, “Hunty got fit but he couldn't get back to full tilt, strength and energy because he was
struggling. That was really shown in the reserve game on Monday.”
While Hunt was impressive in the reserve game he featured in at the start of the week, his complaints deemed him unfit to continue. McCarthy was hopeful Hunt would be able to feature in the last few games of the campaign. He continued, “Hernias are sometimes
two or three weeks now but we will see how he goes. If he recovers he will be available for the last few games.”
Hunt arrived at Wolverhampton Wanderers from Hull City for an estimated fee of £3 million. When he arrived, he was already sidelined with an injury and had to wait until mid October to make his debut for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952. Since then, the injury plagued winger

Alexander Hleb close to return
Birmingham City midfielder Alexander Hleb is expected to return this weekend, in time for the English Premier League clash against Blackburn Rovers. The 29-year-old Belarusian had been sidelined since February, 2011 after picking up a knee injury in the
FA Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday.

could make an appearance against Blackburn.
McLeish sad while talking to reporters, “Hleb is at a good level again in terms of his knee so he should make the squad this weekend. He has been out for a few weeks but is at a pretty good stage fitness wise now. He had an injection in his knee at the beginning
of last week. He has been running well.”
Hleb arrived at Birmingham City on loan on a short term deal in the summer of 2010 straight after a loan spell at Stuttgart. The Belarus international had an unlucky start as he was sidelined with an ankle injury and had to wait until September to make his
debut. He has made 16 appearances for the Blues and has scored 2 goals.
