The 21-year-old midfielder has failed to represent the Wolves regularly, but has now insisted that he will try his utmost to impress his coach Stale Solbakken if he is given a chance.
Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Davis, has expressed his determination to make the most of any given opportunity to cement his place in the playing XI.
The 21-year-old has thus far represented the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 in only 11 games, making loan spells at Darlington, Walsall, Shrewsbury Town, Inverness CT and Chesterfield.
Although, the promising youngster impressed many in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 with his showings at the centre of the part at the end of the 2011/12 season, the Englishman has failed to feature regularly for the Wolves due to the impressive form of Karl Henry and Tongo Doumbia.
However, it seems like that the talented midfielder would be enjoying first-team action in the Wolves’ upcoming Football League Championship game against Huddersfield Town, as Henry will sit out his suspension following his five bookable offences in the
opening 10 games of the season.
And Davis has insisted that he will try his level best to impress his coach should he be given an opportunity to shine.
“It's all about taking your chances when they come along. When you've got Tongo playing so well and Karl doing so well the way we are playing at the moment there are only two places available. I've just to keep knuckling down and continue working hard to
try and prove myself and work my way in”, Davis was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The highly talented midfielder went on to insist that he wants to become a regular first team player at the earliest.
“I'm still only 21 and so have got years ahead of me to try and force my way in but I'd obviously like to do it sooner rather than later. It's in my hands to try and convince the gaffer that I should get that spot and then take the opportunity if it comes
along”, Davis concluded.
The 21-year-old has an ongoing contract at Molineux Stadium that runs until the summer of 2015.
