Wolves 0-3 Liverpool
It was finally first win for King Kenny at Liverpool, it was his 4th game in charge and after 2 losses and one win Liverpool finally played their best and earned a 3-0 win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 away from home.
Fernando Torres was the one to open the scoring from close range, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-Meireles-c30678 smashed in 2nd volley in two games and Torres knocked in his 2nd to complete a comprehensive 3-0 win.

The win was also sweet revenge for the Reds as they were beaten at home by Wolves earlier in the season. The last time these two teams met, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 were denied any time on the ball as Wolves played with a man-to-man marking approach. The home team once
again tried to play with the same approach, but Liverpool were up for it this time and played a more passing game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528 Leiva and his side-footed shot was blocked well by Christophe Berra.
The midfield play of Lucas and Meireles was the highlight for the Reds, and it was the same duo that combined to play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707.
Torres did well to get hold of the ball and cut in to get the ball on his left foot, but his shot was saved by the keeper.
Poulsen played another good ball to release Meireles , who did well to make the run on the wing and right on the bye line played the ball back to Torres. The Spaniard had the simple task of tapping it in for the first goal of the game.
Wolves knew that they could no longer sit back and had to come out and play, Steve Fletcher did well to have a shot and later Milijas had a shot saved by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672.
Liverpool had been guilty of letting leads slip ealier on in the season, but there was not to be a repeat this time.
The Reds got their 2nd goal, when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dirk-Kuyt-c11348 could not convert a one-on-one goal and the ball looped up falling for Meireles.  The Portuguese set himself up and almost in slow motion as everyone else just stood still, the midfielder volleyed the
ball over the keeper and into the right top corner to make it 2-0.
The Reds ended the first half on a high and the fans were in good spirits as the teams headed to the dressing rooms for a breather.
The 2nd half saw Liverpool come out with same type of aggression and they were passing flowing in middle of the field. Torres was also looking agile and hungry for goals.
The 3rd goal of the game was probably simple in the end but one of the contenders for goals of the season. Fernando Torres tapped in his 2nd but it was the build up that made everyone stand up and take notice. Liverpool played 31 passes
before Fernando Torres knocked it into the roof of the net.  It was a big win for Liverpool that moved them in top 10 and Kenny Dalglish finally got his first win in his 2nd stint as Liverpool manager.
