Wolves manager Mick McCarthy dismisses Arsenal link up for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Doyle-c20719
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager, Mick McCarthy has gone on to dismiss any and all rumours that were linking Kevin Doyle with a potential move to Arsenal.
The manager went on to state that the forward was more than happy at the club and did not intend on leaving the club just yet.
Doyle went on to score eight goals for Wolves last season and despite suffering an injury near the end of the season, was in impressive form throughout the season.
There have been countless reports that surfaced recently which stated the player had caught the eye of Arsene Wenger. Arsenal have been in the hunt for an attacking player who can play in a wide array of positions and putting two and two together, it was
believed that Doyle was the man to do that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 for the Gunners.
In a recent interview, McCarthy is quoted to have said: “I can't tell you anything except what was in the papers and I'm not going to comment on some speculative story.
“What I can tell you is that Doyle loves it here.
“He enjoys coming here to work every morning, and we http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Love-c22466 him here and we enjoy him coming to work here every morning.
“That goes for everyone else as well and that will remain the same until anything different happens.”
Doyle made the switch to play for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 from Reading in t 2009. The player currently has two years left on his contract and from the looks of things, he might just stick around to see his contract run out.
Should Arsenal make a move for the forward, they would have to match the £6.5 million fee, which Wolves paid for him in the first place.
Considering the player is worth less than ten million, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 might just fancy making a move for him.
At the moment, Arsenal are on the verge of losing out on the services of both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 and Cesc Fabregas. Should both the players depart, the Gunners will need to bring in solid replacements for the duo.
Over the course of the last couple of seasons, Doyle has proven that he has what it takes to play with the big boys.
Nonetheless, that being said, it is now a wait to see if Arsenal are really going to go ahead and make a move for Doyle, or if the team is going to actually go ahead and sign a much bigger name in hopes to stabilize the team.
