Wolves manager Mick McCarthy says team needs a miracle to stay in Premier League
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager, Mick McCarthy, has claimed that his side will need a miracle to survive relegation after a disappointing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Stoke City on Tuesday, April 26.

McCarthy revealed that it would take a miracle now to save his side from going down to the Championship. He added that the Wolves will have to try and win as many games as they can till the end of the season in order to have any chances of survival.
“We respond with more of a Mick McCarthy performance because that wasn't, to be fair, from my team, which was hugely disappointing. But I'll look at the game and work out how we can play better against Birmingham on Sunday and the next four games. You kind of ask for miracles now, I don't know,” the manager was quoted as saying.
The tactician added that he is unable to find any positives for his side from the game but there have surely been great performances from his team this season. He claimed that the danger of going down should be the biggest motivation for the players now and hoped his team could end the season on a high.
“Nothing of the performance can lift us. It's some of the performances throughout the season we can remember [that can lift us] and the nine wins that we've had and how we've played very well, we've played far better. Playing for Premiership survival should be enough to motivate them. I've not had any performance like that this season,” he concluded.
