Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder, Dave Edwards, has urged his teammates to start next season strongly and not carry their Premier League form into next season.
Stale Solbakken has the difficult http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 of coming in and managing a side that will be left dejected after their relegation from the Barclays Premier League and leading them back into the top tier of English football once again.
However, his efforts will be boosted by the fact that one of the club’s more influential midfielders, Dave Edwards, has called on his teammates to get a bit of momentum going and get themselves back among the best sides in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
“Our aim has got be promotion because this is a huge club with great fans and everything is in place for us to bounce straight back.” Said the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952’ midfielder.
He also pointed out that the key to achieveing that goal would be start next season positively and build a foundation for the rest of the season.
“We need a good start to next season and then hopefully that momentum can carry us through. It’s really important to get off to a good start – teams who have gone down in the past have had a bit of a hangover at the start of the season.”
Wolves were statistically the worst team in the 2011/12 season of the Barclays Premier League as they were the first side to be relegated and also recorded the lowest number of points accumulated by any side last season.
Very few can say that the club did not deserve the drop as Wolves seemed a depleted side since the sacking of Mick McCarthy.
Looking forward to next season, Edwards continued to emphasize on the importance of the club’s start to life in the Championship.
He said, “We’ve really got to get out of the blocks quickly.”
Steve Morgan, the club’s owner, also took some of the pressure off the side and the newly appointed manager by stating that he did not expect the club to jump straight back into the Barclays Premier League.
