Ricky Rubio to return by Christmas
Ricky Rubio’s arrival in the NBA was nothing short of sensational. The Spanish sensation lit up an under achieving franchise and at one point last season, the Timberwolves were in a good position to qualify for the playoffs.
However, Rubio’s rise to stardom came to a halt when he went down injured with a torn ACL. The rehabilitation process has been going on ever since but no specific return date has been set. The latest speculation is that he will
be back by December. Minnesota Timberwolves owner Darren Wolfson claimed that in a recent tweet.
“#Twolves want to bring in a big man and a wing. Issue is guaranteed $$. Latest on Rubio from Taylor: playing before Christmas.”
In the meantime, what would be interesting to see is how the Wolves cope with the rotation system. They have added Alexey Shved and Brandon Roy in the off-season plus having J.J. Barea and Luke Ridnour around gives them enough
options in the back court. But in order to really live up to their expectations for the coming season, they would most certainly need to have Rubio back as he remains the key alongside Kevin Love.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist working on his jump shot before the start of training camp
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was one of the best players on the Kentucky Wildcats roster last season which went all the way to win the NCAA Championship.
He has been labelled as a player with a leader’s attitude and is blessed with an endless motor. The rookie is now working hard to add another ingredient to his skill set. MKG has been working tirelessly to improve his shooting
ability with Bobcats coaching staff while gearing up for training camp before the start of the season.
Jump shooting gave MKG problems during his only collegiate season. He has all the aggression while attacking the basket but struggles to find his rhythm from long range. It was evident in a recent charity game when he missed all
of his three point attempts despite racking up 32 points.
