Women, do you really hate the men in your life?

Hate is such a harsh word, yet I see it tossed around here like candy. Outside of Gender Studies, in your personal life, do you really HATE men in general.

I don't. I am crazy about the men in my life for the most part. I do not even hate my ex's though I do not like things they did. I have a fantastic father, son's I am extraordinarily proud of (son in law too), grandsons I adore, a SO that I love, good neighbors, etc.

So, in your personal life, do you really HATE men as has been claimed by some users here.

I am sure someone asked this before, so forgive me ahead of time.

  1. not at all. there are plenty of male and female jerks. The most important person in my life is my fiance n i'm completely crazy about him! <3

    oh, n i'm not a feminist...just browsing here =)

  2. I dont think most women on here hate men. (Oh, and excuse my interruption on a question clearly marked 'Women', i have been having a little bit of insomnia the past few nights, and stumbled my way here.)

The anonymity granted to people on the internet it what allows them to take their feelings, and explode a small dislike into hatred. Mostly it may be to get noticed. If you'll take notice, many of those who have neutral feelings or are pretty passive on the internet are lost in the shuffle of other, louder users.

  3. Strangely, nothing seems to confuse or irritate misogynists more, than feminists loving men. I wonder why that might be.

  4. Of course I don't for am I a modern Feminist and I adore men more than life itself, I love nothing more than men and equality.  Or whatever the company line reads.

  5. They say that no feminist will admit to hating men. But if the essence of feminism is misandry, don't you think we'd be proud of it?

Anyway, the only men I hate are the ones who hate me.

  6. Of course not, lol!

We are all brothers and sisters of the human race.

  7. yes

    bunch of weiner whackers

  8. I don't hate anyone.

Hate is a wasted emotion. you spend so much time hating them that you can not enjoy life. and it makes you bitter so why put yourself through that? God Bless

  9. The only people I truly hate are those who abuse children and animals.  They deserve to suffer.

Of course I don't hate men in general (although I pity more than a few here).  Nor have I ever met a woman who identified herself as a feminist who did.

That statement is just not true . . . but you knew that.

  10. I absolutely love the men in my life. You see... I am married to one and also have 3 sons. Have I been extremely frustrated with them? YES! Do they leave all of the cleaning and most of the cooking to me even though I work as much as they? YES! Do they expect that women don't always look a certain way, or don't actually need to expel flatuation after eating homemade chili? Yes. They expect a lot more respect than they are willing to give a lot of the time and take advantage of my good nature.  I love them though and want them to succeed in everything that they want to put their efforts into.

I think when people say that they "HATE" men that they have been deeply hurt by some man somewhere. It could also be the high frustrations of women when men behave badly. I don't think women in general hate men at all.

  11. No I don't hate them but they are more trouble than they are worth. Whenever you see trouble brewing there is always a man at the heart of it.

  12. well i have seen two men in my life my dad and my brother.. no bf's yet i am 19... i thought both of them to be the best.... but now as i grow up i realize they are not as great as they seemed to me as a kid... so that made me think men as double standard.. i maybe wrong.. but since i got a similar heart breaking experience from both i dont get so friendly with men than girls...

  13. To have hate in your heart hurts YOU, not the other person.

  14. I love men.

I think the word hate is often used to discredit feminists or women who question male privilege.
