Women, what is the female preoccupation and big talk about men having little bitty thingy?

Every time I hear it I cringe

I try to picture the level of disrespect that a woman must have for herself.

It is always beyond me, is this not trashy?

Just think if it was the other way around, where men indulge in talk about feminine matters, of which there are many

What are your thoughts is it anything goes?

Its called ad hominem. A tactic usually used when the reserves of logic and maturity are depleted and emotion of anger takes over so the attack on the ego translates into analyzation of certain  percieved "objects" of masculinity in order to shift the balance of the conversation to her favor.

I find that these kind of insults, and remarks about castration, are often thrown around by simple minded people who have no validity in their argument. If men threaten females with genital mutilation or make inappropriate implications regarding feminine issues, it is  dealt with immediately. The women who make these comments think that they are beyond reproach.

(ANS) The way I have been able to make sense of this, is that women often talk about men & their genitals or have a pre-occupation with talking about the male member in a derogatory way (yes! its very disrespectful of course it is its meant to be!!). But it is sadly true that men say equally horrible derogatory things about women, i.e. some men can be either misogynistic or sexist or both.

**Women can be equally horrible about men as men can be horrible about women. Woman are freer now in some senses to express their distaste or disrespect of men than ever before in history. But it does neither s*x any good to be disrespectful towards each other.

This is the darker side of our genda and in an era were young women can be as macho as the next man i.e. drink you under the table or out s*x the next guy with multiple sexual conquests,etc.  

**Sadly, Patriarchy is still solidly with us after more than 2500 years & I don't see it changing very soon either. I honestly wonder what a society & culture based on a Matriarchy would be like? It couldn't be more of a mess than we are now in, it might even be an improvement. But I don't think I'll ever live to see that kind of society.

**Horrible or derogatory remarks about men in general or a specific man are just a put down in the conventional sense. Or are meant to wound the ego, men are often on an ego trip so if they get knocked off the ego perch I have little sympathy really TBH.

**The size of your member or labia is totally irrelevant in my opinion.

Yeah, it is disrespectful. I cringe about as much as when I hear men disrespect women's bodies, which is something very common. I don't assume that you're often criticised for your body though, only-maybe- by jealous chicks.

Bashing a mans body gives women a chance to "switch positions" since THEY are always judged so much on THEIR appearance.

The "winky" is the ONE body part men are self-conscious about. a.k.a male weakness.

Why would I talk negatively about a guy? Their litle winkys are nothing to be talking about because it is out of there control. So when someone starts making comments about that, I think it is pretty wrong.
