Women, whats your thoughts of goose down bed pad/matress, duvet, and pillows?

what do you think of the bed pad/matress, alone or ontop of a matress? And what are your thoughts of goose or feather or combination of the 2?

I am allergic.  Otherwise, they might be great in the Winter.  Too warm for Summer.

Me and my husband both have nice goose down pillows and a blanket which you use a duvet to cover it.  You have to get a pretty high quality though.  I had a goose down mattress at one time and it was kind of cheap.  The feathers kept falling out all the time and I had to get rid of it.  

The only problem with the blanket is that's it's perfect for the winter but to warm for the summer unless you have your air conditioner on.

If you use both a feather bed and feather blanket you'll burn up.

Having goose down pillows, blanket, and some nice sheets is the most comfortable way to sleep.  Probably one of the best purchases I've ever made.
