Women, why don't you put the seat back up when you are done in the bathroom?

It is very inconsiderate to leave it down and not put it back up for us men.

No one wants to look at a raised toilet seat, no one should have to touch it except the person who uses it, and it looks cheap and tacky and nasty when it is left up. Next?

Most bathrooms have gobs of bacteria, and I for one do not mess with the seat; unless it is left up, or I am cleaning the bathroom.Now if I am at someone's house; I do put it back the way I found it. No matter how you decide to handle the toilet seat question; I have one thing to say watch your aim guys, and if you miss please clean it up. Also everyone; this may sound silly but wash your hands more often especially after using a bathroom and you will be a healthier person; also drink lots of water.

Toilets are designed to be presented with the seat down.  since as a man you i assume sit at times, then just put the seat down.  Makes life so much easier

Because it's a toilet SEAT.

If you want the seat up to pee, you will be facing the toilet and can see that the seat is down.  However, if I go to sit on a seat that is up, I won't see it and will fall in.

This wouldn't be a problem, but my dad always put the seat back down and so the first time this happened I was an adult and not expecting it.

I close the lid.  I do this because there's bacteria in the toilet and our toothbrushes are out on the sink next to the toilet.  We also have cats who like to play in the toilet.

I don't whine when my two males roommates leave the seat up.  I just let them clean up the mess that the cats make when they play in the toilet.

If you insist on having the seat up, perhaps you men should work on your aim first.  If aiming is hard, then learn to sit.

Because men have been brought up to do the considerate things for women like real gentlemen. (Walking on the outside of the sidewalk, opening the door etc.)

And you cant really fight it, because a women could use the same excuse to say that its very inconsiderate of the man to leave it up and not put it back down for us women.

You make a good point.  However, in my house it's the male's responsibility to put the seat down, not mine to put it back up.

I pretty much just put it back how I found it actually, whether it's up or down.
