I ride a Trek road bike but am looking for a really good women's saddle or seat. Comfort is top priority so I can ride more miles. Any recommendations of a brand and model?

  1. I am a female cyclist and  Iog tons of miles. The whole seat issue is hard to figure out.  Personally I don't like the Terry brand, but I know they work great for some gals.  It all depends on how wide your "sit bones" are ( I am small , 5ft, so men's seats fit me well).

In general, men's saddles tend to be narrower and female's wider.

I do like the brand Specialized.  They have a sizing system ( I gel pad that you sit on and will tell you what size is best).  Your local bike shop might have the sizing charts and saddles (if they sell Specialized).

I ride the Specialized "Toupe" size 143..... It's great.

    Good luck!

  2. Hard to recommend saddles as it's a very personal fit thing. But the Terry line is popular with women. Also check out the Specialized line.

Personally, I rode the last year plus on a Selle Italia SLR. It's a SUPER light saddle and the most comfy I ever used.

  3. terrybicycles.com has a selection of women's specific saddles.

  4. Bikeshop and try women saddles into a google and google image search.
