Women's Bikes: Giant FCR 3 or Fuji Absolute 3.0

Question

I'm shopping for a new bicycle. I'm a novice rider and would like to start cycling to and from work. I'll save money on gas and get some much needed exercise. I haven't testest any bikes yet because I'm trying to get a good idea on what to look for when buying a bicycle. I'm comparing the Giant FCR 3 and the Fuji Absolute 3.0. Which is better and why?

IMO the Giant is a far superior brand and bike.

The two bikes are comparable,not much difference between the two.

Hard to say which is better, some people like Giant, some like Fuji.

You will be happy with either.

Basically just pick the color you like the best :)

I have a WS 2006 FCR 1 and love it.  Ride both bikes, ideally on the same day, and compare how they feel to you.  Make sure the shops set them up for you and go with the one that fits / feels the best for you.  You might also want to try out some other bikes just so you can experience the difference in bikes that cost less and more then the ones you are looking at.  If you have more than one or two shops to choose from visit them all as customer services can be just as important if not more important than the bike you buy.  Good luck and happy riding.
