Question:

Women's best undershort for running?

I'm looking for a undershort that will prevent rubbing of inner thighs...I've tried UnderArmor and another brand, but they don't last with the humidity of the South. Anyone try these Pro Shorts by CW-X? Or what about the Nike New Trail Impact Women's Shorts?-Thanks

  1. I would look for some shorts that are made specifically for heat. I understand your pain, I'm from the south also. Good luck!! and also ask the workers at the running store, most of them are probably runners themselves and know what to look for.

  2. go to eastern mountain sports and get teck wick compression shorts, they are lighweight, protect from chafing, and they wick away the sweat and keep you cool...also you could try a chafing stick which kinda looks like deoderant, but it's a light jel that you rub on your inner thighs and prevents rubbing.

  3. Try Body Glide (found in Running Stores) and rub that on your troubled chafing areas.  I wear compression shorts or fitted shorts for this reason, no chafing.  UA and CW-X are both good shorts...I've never tried NIke New Trail Impact shorts yet...if they have a built in underwear, that will help reduce chafing.

Good luck, run happy and train smart ;)
