and it is also an offshot of post-colonialism.

I'm currently doing a feminist masters research on this topic.

So what can the feminists do to avert this problem?

Is there a way or any political move feminism/nists must do to address this problem?

how does commodification manifests in every women's lives?

Is there some form of resistance to subscribing beauty products?

do you feel that this is another form of capitalist patriarchal exploitation?

  1. The Mrs. has a point. Lucky for me, I'll never need to lighten my skin, I have an ultra fair completion and don't go into the sun (the sun makes me sick for some reason)

  2. It is a result of society's idea of beauty.  In America a tan is still seen as more attractive, though over past years has decreased in both attractiveness and popularity due to the education and exposure of the dangers of it.  Perhaps dangers of skin lightening need to be addressed as well.
