"Why things don't get fixed"

floors a creaking,

doors a squeaking,

faucets a leaking,

toilets a reeking,

girlfriends a streaking,

she's not speaking,

she's a shrieking,

she's a freaking,

I start a tweaking,

Behind me she's peeking,

she starts critiquing,

as I start a sneaking,

to the local pub,

where I'll be a drinking.

  1. You and I would make great neighbors.

  2. That was absolutely a fun read. Maybe she should fix you by beating you with a rubber hammer; I bet you`d fix things then! lol

  3. Listen Matey, floors a-creaking, doors a-squeaking, taps a-leaking, and toilets a-reeking are all the things that I fix around my neck of the woods. My dear one doesn't know one end of a hammer from another, and soon after our marriage he decided to just be my assistant.

(What are you tweaking, whilst she is peeking? It sounds a bit...you know....personal!)

Any old excuse to slope off.

    Nice pome.

  4. Hahaha! When this happens you can bet I'll be sittin' right next to him enjoying a cold one!

Now that you mentioned it, that leak STILL isn't fixed!

(But we're happy and that's what counts!)

  5. I be a liking this.

Funny poem Bob. Sometimes I just like reading things for the light humor and the sounds of the words.
