If future needs to be determined by the result, it is clear to predict that this team will go a long way ahead and has a bright future. This also determines the fact that on comparing to the National team’s improvement under the new coach Adam Commens, this
U21 team has also strategically and seriously done much work in producing some good results.
This team was picked out to be the most talented female players in the whole country and was coached by the Assistant coach Katrina Powell, living up to the expectations after such a tremendous performance.
Powell commented on the conquest by saying, “Overall I think we played well. For many of the players it was their first time representing Australia in a national team, so there were a few nerves early which was to be expected. But once they settled in they
showed their talent.”
She was surprised to see how well they had dealt on playing against the senior France players and said, “I'm pleasantly surprised with how well we did considering they were playing France’s senior national squad."
She mentioned the names of Georgina Morgan and Karri McMahon for playing a vital role on the defensive side along with the drag-flick specialist Morgan. Powell identified Alyssa Kerr and Brooke Peris for a great contribution towards the U21 Australian team.
