  1. One saturday morning after I got up cIeaned my house took my shower and got ready for the rest of my day a limo driver shoed up at my front door, telling me her was here to take me around town he had the address to all the places I was to go ...to a day spa, my hair dresser, shoping. and then droped off at home. When I got home I had a dozen roses and some clothing to change into as well as a note from my husband to  telling me that I had 1 hour to get ready , another driver came back to get me and took me to meet my husband and our daughter for a candle lit dinner for 3. Just ideas for you . Good Luck

  2. the sweetest thing is noticing something she said she always wanted to do, or that she LOVES while she said it in just a regular conversation and then you make plans for her to experience it and it shows that you're a good listener and creative cause you tailored your romantic thing to something for her and not something generic.

  3. Surprised me with a candlelit dinner that he cooked himself.

  4. Why do you care what a guy did for me you should be unique and do something different for the special somone you dont need other peoples opinion

  5. My hubby read poetry to me by candlelight!  I loved it and it's still one of many of my favorite things about him :)

  6. One of my favorite things my husband ever did for me was set up a nice bubble bath with candles.  He poured me a glass of wine and took the kids away so I could have a nice quiet moment.  Then he came in closed the door and sat next to the tub.  He took the time to listen to me about my day.  Reminded me why he loved me, and made me feel like there was no one in the world but me during that moment.  To me that was so incredibly romantic and it didn't take that much effort.

  7. You'll probably be disappointed in my answer, but he picked me up when I was stranded once, and drove three hours to take me home, then three hours back to where he lives. We live in different states.

He also picked up my mother who was with me (they don't get along), and was really sweet and bought her medicine because she was sick.

  8. for our 2nd anniv.he told me to pack my bags that he had a surprise,we went to the mtns for a night.the romantic thing about it  was the great lengths he went thru,he had made arrangements with my mom to watch our daughter and just everything he did to keep it secret because he wanted to surprise me.for him thats big b/c hes not the most romantic but some times he can be so sweet like that.

  9. Honestly the most romantic thing a man every did for me was my ex. He used to race 100 mile bike rides. he would often go out for 30 mile rides to stay in shape. Once he was preparing for a race called the wildflower century in northern cal mountains where the wildflowers bloom. He got a flat and had already used his spare tube so he walked the 10 miles back to town and where we were staying through the meadows and he began picking the wildflowers. when he arrived home late and exhausted he handed me his bike helmet full of hand picked wildflowers.

Most of the time the most special things, the things we remember are the little and spontaneous ones. Big things tend to fall flat and be insincere for some people. It is not the grand gesture that most people seek or even want.

  10. For my birthday he made me a gourmet meal completely from scratch.  Tapenade, scallops, chocolate cover strawberries and passion fruit sangria.  On top of that he gave me beautiful earrings with my birth stone in them and a gorgeous lingerie.  He also runs me bubble baths even on non special occasions.

These are just of few of the sweet things he has done :)

  11. This sounds kinda silly, but it meant SO much to me. I had a really S****y day and we were at home where I was attempting to cook dinner, unfortunately the food was sticking like mad to the pans, because they were really cheap tin things. I was just at my boiling point when my husband asked me for a beer. That just set me off. I was yelling and screaming and I threw the pan on the ground. He just looked at me and left. I started crying and was curled up on the couch in tears when he walked in with a brand new, very expensive cooking pan and a single rose.

  12. I can think of several ... on our first anniversary we were so broke.  I had planned to cook a special meal for us that evening, but that morning, my husband told me to dress casual and get in the car.  I did.  We drove into the Ouachita mountains a few hours from where we live, to the top of one of the mountains and he spread out a picnic he had prepared himself.  It was so thoughtful and romantic.

One Valentine's Day, my husband arranged with my work to let me off early.  The holiday was on a Friday that year, and my boss let me off work at noon, told me to take the rest of the day off.  My husband was waiting for me.  We drove through a snow storm to a resort hotel a few hours from where we live.  I had told him years before that I had always wanted to visit the hotel.  It's very old and famous for their hot springs, spas and massages.  We sat in the hot tub, surrounded by the snow from the storm, sipped our champagne and had a wonderful weekend of pampering.

There are more, my husband is such a romantic, but those are the most memorable.

Edit:  after reading over all of these responses, must say that Blue's is by far the most sweet and thoughtful I have ever read.  Not sure if it ties in with your plans, it wouldn't hurt to keep this info tucked away for future reference!

  13. nothing at all! lmao!

  14. After we both worked all day, he arrived at my house before me.  I had every intention of coming home to cook for him, but when I arrived, he had dinner done and was putting it on the table.  It was so sweet.  I was completely impressed.

  15. left after it was over

  16. my man send to a vacation in Toronto . why was he the most sweetest things . i was very overwhelmed by family ssues and was close to snapping . i told him how it would be nice if i could just get away alone but we didnt have enought money then so when he surprise me with it was so cool . it was only for the week end but it was so relaxing and sweet

  17. Think in terms of making her feel special, especially in front of her friends.

  18. It wasn't necessarily WHAT he did (we went to a very nice restaurant then played Scrabble at his house) but the lengths he went to to do it, which I found out about later. It's hard to get reservations there, so he called all over the place until he found someone who could hook him up with a good table at a good time. Anything private is good...anything that shows you really worked hard to make it a sweet, memorable night.
