Question

How many of you had s*x before your 6 week check up after having your baby?

What happened anything bad? Did you bleed more, or did it hurt?

With my first daughter I waited the 6 weeks before we got back into action,with my second daughter we didn't wait the 6 weeks  but nothing bad happened. I didn't bleed more nor did it hurt,actually I was really in the mood so yeah I actually had to force him into it because he was afraid it might hurt me if we did it so early.

I have had normal vaginal deliveries with all 4 of my babies, and I never tore.  Not saying I wont this time.  But, its up to you.  Nothing bad happened to me.  My husband was nice and easy.  I didn't bleed anymore or less.  I was a bit sore, but it wasn't anything that hurt.

I had s*x 5 weeks after giving birth.  I had a C section, by the way.  It definitely hurt more than normal, but not too bad, and that was the only bad thing.

I had a natural birth with no tearing.

We tried to have s*x about 1.5 weeks postpartum and gave up, soreness at my opening (TMI I know!).

At about three weeks there was no more soreness at opening, but afterward I was sore in the whole pelvic floor muscle area. Tylenol is OK to take when breastfeeding, FYI. Blood which had been brown became bright red, as an indication that some of that discharging uterine lining got *jostled* and was able to be expelled.

From five weeks to ten weeks (now), the degree of muscular soreness depends on the "gentleness" of your partner. Sometimes I pop a tylenol fast acting just before.

The reason you may be sore is that the muscles you pushed with (pelvic floor) underwent a radical challenge. It's like when you work out harder than you normally would, and then you feel a soreness in a new muscle group.
