It's pretty obvious McCain chose her to try and gain Hillary supporters

doesn't this look horribly shallow on McCains part? that he would choose his VP simply on the grounds that she is a women seems horrible, and worse that he thinks Hillary's supporters were only with her because she was just that, a woman.

I'm just curious to know what women and hillary supporters think of this, would you vote for McCain simply to elect a woman as VP??

This entire time we have heard nothing but "America needs experience" from McCain, now he went and chose someone who has none.

  1. It is funny isn't it. Now republicans can't use the experience card they have been tossing around!  I think this move will cost McCain votes instead of helping him, he dropped the ball!

  2. It is incredibly insulting to women. This ploy is so transparent. If Paulin had a wealth of experience, I might give McCain the benefit of the doubt. However, it is not the case. I believe that this will cost McCain the votes he thought he would gain.

  3. I think it's an insult he picked this woman. McCain thinks just because he picked a woman he'll get the female vote. he thinks women are that stupid to vote for someone just because they are a woman.

McCain has to realize Hilary supporters didn't vote for her because she's a woman, they voted for her because she's Hilary Clinton

  4. Not only do I support McCain;s choice, I wrote to his campaign a few times and asked him to consider Palin as his running me!

    Happy me!

Palin *does* have experience. HEr experience is better than Obama's!

She was a Governor.  That means she ran the entire state of Alaska.  Yes, it's population is small but it is a geographically huge state with many resources to manage and lots of needs.

Palin was also a mayor.  Yes, it as a small town.  Still. she had the experience of running it.  All a Senator does is talk about polices, propose polices, and vote on policies.  A senator does not govern.

Mayors govern, Governors govern, and presidents govern.  Senators just talk.  (And we know Obama is good at that, but is he good at anything else???)

Palin has an approval rating in her state of 85-95%.  That is incredibly high!

She kept her campaign promises to her constituents.  She had a PLAN for the things she said she was going to do and she initiated those changes right away.

  5. Not voting for McCain.

He can have Palin, but having a woman as a VP won't make me vote for him.

    Women are not gullible.

  6. I wish people would stop worshiping at the Roe v Wade altar.  Here is a little reality check.  If the Supremes overturn Roe v Wade tomorrow, you will still be able to have all the abortions you want.  The only difference is, each of the States will be able to decide if they want to allow abortion or not.  They can keep going like it is now, put some restrictions on them or outlaw them entirely.  Before Roe, you could get an abortion in New York but not in New Jersey.  So if you lived in New Jersey and wanted an abortion you just had to hop on the bus. At the absolute worst all you abortion seekers would be is a bit inconvenienced.  Not cast back into the 18th century.

So, I believe many of today's women will be able to identify with Sarah Palin even more than with Hillary Clinton. I know my wife does.

  7. Awful. She is anti-abortion in all instances....even when the life of the mother is in jeopardy. She is completely opposed to everything Hillary stands for.

  8. John McCain picked a great partner to run with

Obama and Biden are just the same ol' hacks from the far left

    Democrats threw this election..one >?> two<>< Three

American is rejoicing with John McCain and Sarah Palin

and most women see that this is a sign that Obama is going to

get a big dose of reality when he and JOE BIDEN lose Nov 4 th>

  9. I am a Hillary supporter and I am not happy about McCain's choice... If something happend to McCain I would be terrified to know that she's going to be president! He should have chose a woman that actually has experience! I am not voting for McCain anymore.

  10. What is even worse is if they win Roe V Wade will be overturned. They only need 1 Supreme to appoint to do it! I hope women can live with going back a century on account of one of their gender!

  11. McCain must think Clinton supporters are pretty stupid if he thinks he can pick a fundie, anti-choice, right winger female and they will ignore everything but the female part.

McCain didn't graduate at the bottom of his class for no reason.  Another dumb GOP politician who got where he is because Daddy and his rich wife paid the way for him.

  12. Hillary is well known and we don't know a whole lot about this woman. I would not vote for her due to the fact that it is scary to think that if something should happen to McCain that an unheard of and unknown person will be in charge of the U. S. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  13. I wouldn't vote for him if a gun was pointed at my forehead.

  14. Actually, Gov. Palin has more executive experience than Sen. Obama or Biden combined. She also has a near 90% approval rating in Alaska. I thought it was pretty bold of the Obama campaign to go after Palin  using experience as an issue, since Barrack himself doesn't have much room to speak!

  15. Why wouldn't they.  Palin didn't need her husband to make it in politics.  Self made (no Bill).

  16. HC can kiss my ****.

A gun-toting, "barracuda," mom of five, has my vote.

She's done a lot of work in a short time.

So she doesn't know the rules...that's just means she'll be able to break them easier.

  17. h**l No!

My first question was who the h**l is she!

Then the more I find out about her, the more I hate.  Hillary voters,if you still don't want to vote for Obama for whatever reason, please stay home or vote Libertarian.  Do not fall for this gimmick.

It is NOT in your best interest.  This is not just about abortion.  This is about the fact that she is so right wing that we will be guaranteed to loose the political balance on the supreme court even if McCain croaks on the first day or not.

Not to mention, I don't think being a beauty queen is really as important a qualification for being president as being head of the Harvard law review (especially since the whole world peace thing is TOTALLY again McCain's hundred year war). Secondly the supreme court is much, much more than Roe vs Wade (not saying that this isn't important).

So in the end, he showcases Malibu Barbie and now a former beauty queen. Does MC Cain really think that average, real, hard working women are impressed by this? This puts his gorilla joke into full focus for me.
