Women: embarrassed by panties and bra but not tiny bikinis?

How come women are ashamed when you see them wearing a bra and panties.. but when they are in small revealing bikini, it's ok?

I don't know, maybe co'z bra and panties usually don't come in matching pairs and their supposed to be UNDER what we wear, whereas a bikini, it's made for showcasing your body outdoors and you can buy it in matching pairs.. I guess? ;-)

1. Not all women who are embarrassed in their underwear are confident enough to wear a bikini.

2. A bikini is something they put on for you to see. If you accidentally view them in their underclothes, that's not something they want you to see.

Perhaps because a bra and panties are suppose to be used under clothing and not revealed, whereas bikinis are bight, colorful and meant to be seen.  =P

i cant say i am embarrassed about either, i often answer the door to the postman in bra and knickers so i cant be that bothered about it

Because there is a difference between underclothes and swimwear.
