  1. I'm sure your mum is in the best possible care. Yes, there are certain risks with EVERY surgery but surgeons and doctors are well-equipped to deal with these situations if they arise.

My experience of hysterectomy in my family is mostly of the emotional turmoil it can cause. You lovely mum may be feeling a little blue for a while and she'll need lots of support and hugs from you when you get back.

    Good luck to you both!

  2. im sure u r just worrying, nothing bad will happen, m sure that the doctors have preformed the procedure plenty of times. just calm down, everything will be fine :)

  3. You mother will be fine. My mother-in-law just when through one, and my mom will be getting on in a month or so. You mother will know what needs to be done, i'm sure that she's having someone come with her to drive her home and be with her. She will be very sleep and tired the first day because of the stuff they use to put her to sleep for the operation. And for a few days afterward she'll be laying down and resting. She will be given meds for the pain, and she'll just be slow around the house.

There have been so many hysterectomies that have preformed and they advancements in the medical field, there is a very very small chance that she will get a disease.

Just when you get back, if she still needs help around the house you'll be there to help her :) Call her every day just to make sure she's feeling well.
