  1. It depends which society you live in, in some countries it would be a punishable offense for a woman to talk casually with a non-related male.

In the USA, some women might feel less intimidated when working with female partners in business settings. There is less fear of sexual connotations to actions and behavior and there is less inherent feelings of inferiority or "underdog" status. Some businesses are very competitive and it's especially hard for women to break through in them, so being surrounded by other women gives a feeling of belonging.

I personally feel comfortable working with male AND female coworkers, but overall I have to admit that I sometimes feel uncomfortable because male coworkers, whether they do it consciously or not, hit on me or say things that are uncomfortable or even condescending. In a business meeting, if a man were to say "you look beautiful today" to me, I would think it was inappropriate to the setting and even more inappropriate because I am married. Sexual tension and sexual harassment is mainly an issue because of male and female interaction in a business setting.
