Thank you for all your responses. I wish the boat, tackle and engine manufacturers would sponsor women like they did men fishermen. WTF??

  1. I bet per capita women are just as successful as fisher people as men are.

BTW, I am an ace fisher person, especially with fly-fishing.  My Daddy taught me!

  2. I don't know, but I just started getting into fishing and its a lot more fun than I thought it would ever be.  And I even caught a bass!  I think there are a lot of women who think its boring or "a man's sport" and don't give it a try.  I'm really glad that I finally gave it a chance.  But not all women think to try it, I think.

  3. my girl is a great fisherperson

  4. You don't know for a fact there aren't any, do you?  How many successful fisherguys can you name?

  5. You obviously know nothing about the famous ama women of Shirahama, Japan.  They are divers who fish for abalone:

You trolls really need to do your research.

*The ICD-9 295.02 diagnosis is "Schizophrenia - Chronic".  What you see below is what happens when they go off their antipsychotic medication.

  6. They don't have a pole, and only a few are master baiters.

  7. I love to fish and I can even bait my own hook, disassemble and reassemble a rod and reel, scale and gut a fish.  I know how to handle a catfish as well.  My brother and I learned all of this when we were just kids.  I hope to teach both my son a daughter these things soon.

  8. "I bet per capita women are just as successful as fisher people as men are."

    Whatever you say dear...
