ok, i am 40. and for the past year i have been "loosing it" i am soooo moody, quick to anger, always anxious, i just am not myself. i am waiting for my head to spin around one day. is this normal to go through changes. does your hormones at 40 start to change, your moods ect.. i am on birth control to help with my period changes, and antidepressant but sometimes i feel "not myself at all" does anyone know any good books or cd's on changes in women and what to expect as you age. thank you have a great day.

  1. I started taking Estroven, wow what a difference! I take the maximum strength one, the other doesn't work very well for me.

  3. It sounds like menopause to me, or at the very least perimenopause.

    A simple blood test will tell you.  But you are describing me when I started going through it at the early age of 36.  I was stunned when the doctor told me and was in denial for awhile but then I had to get help because I was losing all my friends and my family didn't want to be around me.  I was so moody and irritable all the time. I also took anti-depressants. There are many books at the public library which helped me alot.  I'm sorry I don't remember the exact names but ask someone there to help you.  And please check with a doctor because your hormones could be on a rollercoaster.  Good luck.
