Question:

Women who are for Palin b/c they supported Hillary?

I am not understanding how this is possible. Palin is the same woman that said in March that Hillary Clinton was "whining" about her treatment during the Democratic primaries. She clearly has no respect for Hillary and the battle she fought. Do you think that McCain selected Palin to try to pick up the Hillary supporters that were up for grabs? Or was this actually a strategic move for the GOP?

  1. OH

    MY

    GAWD

Do you know who went on and on about Hillarys "whining" the most during the primaries....Obama supporters...

  2. Hillary is the ONLY woman of executive capabilities...ONLY***no other bimbo...can run this country. (Eye candy)

  3. Of course it is to pick up the Hillary votes and it just might work. Did Obama really think McCain would not try this. Any good politician would. McCain is not stupid. He is smart enough to see Obama made a huge mistake not having Hillary on board. This election is so close that neither party can afford to lose votes. I don't see republicans voting democrat because of Palin but I do see democrats voting republican because of Biden. Hey if Obama does not care what the Hillary supporters are concerned about maybe McCain does.

  4. I guess you didn't listen to Palins speech today when she thanked Hillary for making the 14 million cracks in the glass ceiling.

Bet you mocked and dissed Hillary when she was running against Obama.

  5. I don't see how the McCain campaign thought that just because his new VP running mate is a woman, we are all dumb enough to vote for him...that is the ONLY thing that Hil and Sarah have in common. Women Dems are not just going to flock to McCain because his VP is a chick. I couldn't care less about that. I want to know this would be the right person for the job, pen!s or not. And from what I've seen, she's toxic.

  6. I can't believe that women who supported Hillary (as I did) would vote for McCain simply because he has a woman running for his VP.

Palin and McCain are still Republicans and Palin is no Hillary! Not even close. Hillary is pro-choice, Palin is pro-life.

  7. An elaborate and carefully constructed decision by the McCain campaign for sure.

They're hoping the "shock value" will steal from Obama's thunder, and to win over disgruntled Hillary Clinton supporters.

Of course, it shouldn't work that way and I don't think it will. Besides, like Hillary herself said, were they voting for HER or were they voting for how she stood on THE ISSUES?

  8. Honestly, if i were a woman i would be offended by such a poorly thought out, blatant attempt to win my vote. though i probably would be against mccain anyway, considering hes never voted for a womens health bill hi entire time in office.

  9. lol

  10. They are not doing their research

  11. The pundits seem to be saying that McCain needs to shore up his conservative base and she fits the profile - anti-choice, pro-gun, etc. I think it's a poor attempt to try to sway women into his camp, but I would wager that the typical Hillary Clinton supporter does not have similar political views as Gov. Palin.

  12. Women who are for Palin are the same sort of women who supported Thatcher. They make the mistake of believing that a woman, any woman must be "better" than a man. That she will have insights and motivations which are somehow "womanly"  - caring and cautious. Not foolhardy.

What they fail to understand is that for a woman, especially a relatively young woman to have risen so high in this arch conservative, strictly regulated environment (The Republican Party) she would have to have been one hard cookie. She will be ruthless, take no prisoners and willing to deal with the devil in order ot further her own agenda. Otherwise she would not have survived the battle to get there.
