Hillary lost, now at least women have SOMEONE who's female running for office. No, I wouldn't vote for the neighborhood cat lady for office, but Palin is legit, has about as much experience as Obama (so the "no experience" argument won't work) and she's cool. So what do you say, Yahoo answerers?

  1. were you going to vote for hillary? or were you always going to vote for McCain?

  2. I was going to vote for McCain anyway, this just makes it that much more sweet.

Whatever small chance Obama had, will now evaporate.

I will enjoy the tears of all of his supporters who believed Obama's celebrity status could get him elected.

  3. I think it is fantastic McCain chose a woman who is already a Govenor with so many great qualifications. She could be President herself on day and I would feel great her being our Commander and Chief.

    McCain/Palin 08!!!

  4. Obama is still going to win, like obama and his people said lastnight it's time for a CHANGE

  5. Nothing. I repeat nothing would cause me to vote for McCain. I love this country and it's people way too much for that.

  6. Palin is an anti-choice conservative ideologue whose foreign policy experience apparently consists of knowing the location of Canadian border.  She has been governor of Alaska for 1 year 8 months and before that she was the mayor of Tiny Town.

I wouldn't vote for a person just because the person is a woman.  I vote for someone because I agree with their positions on the issues.  Hillary supporters are not going to be suckered by the Palin pick because her views are diametrically opposed to Hillary's views.  While some women might be eager to vote for a woman no matter what, most Hillary voters are far to savvy to vote for Palin.  They also believe in the things that Hillary stands for and that Palin does not.  She won't get the support of most Hillary voters.

  7. YES.

  8. LOL...NO!! McCain has shown a HUGE lack of judgment. Thinking with your weenie is not a good thing

  9. I had planned on voting for McCain regardless, but this is certainly the icing on the cake!

  10. She isn't running for office...  Much like Biden isn't running for office.  VP's, historically, have very little effect on the race itself so long as they don't do anything to destroy the candidate's chances...

As for "now at least women have SOMEONE who's female running for office"

So you were voting for Hillary solely because she was a woman and not because of her ideaology at all?  If thats the case I am glad she lost.  I hate when people vote for someone for reasons other than governing the country...you're basically just "aborting" your vote anyways.

  11. YES

  12. i don't care if palin is a woman. all i care about is if she is qualified to be vp. i personally hate his choice. he could have done better.

  13. I would have voted for McCain regardless, but him picking a female for VP was unexpected and extremely exciting to me!
