  1. i took metformin also for about 3 months before i got a real period. I got pregnant first month after that.

So i started metformin in about end of sept i think, no period in oct, spotted for 2 weeks in nov and on 13th dec got my first real period and i still had a long cycle but on the 23rd of jan i found i was pregnant. Am due OCt 4th. I didn't have to use clomid at all however i did loose 10 kg from met, exercise and low GI eating.

  2. i found out i had pcos when i was 13 now 25 (26 in a week).

i started tryin when i was 16.. took 9 years.

I went on metformin and that helped me, i was only on it for 1 month oct last year then found out in dec i was preggers...

Clomid was going to be my next step, but i never ended up having it as i fell preggers. only had her 7 days ago...

Clomid has a really high success rate, use it correctly and you will be fine. I have also heard that clomid can be the cause of ovarian cancer due to over stimulated ovaries etc... i think the doctors recommend only going on it for 6 cycles, so make sure you find out and do your own homework on it...

  3. I have pcos, but as long as I exercise, my periods come. AND (this is funny) I was put on metformin to regulate my periods, I took them for one day and threw the bottle away since I got so sick. I got pregnant that week on accident. I ovulate three times a month!! My Dr. made me use the ovulation tests for three months prior to that to see if I ovulated on a regular basis. You may be irregular, but stop thinking about it so much and more than likely that's when it'll happen. I have a friend who has pcos and tried ttc for 3 years, she finally said forget it, and was going to adopt. She became pregnant that month=) Everyones advice for pcos is getting healthy. Exercise and a good diet. It worked wonders for me and her. Her friend also has pcos, she tried for a year and now has a 2 year old son. I wish you all the luck in the world

  4. For me, I got pregnant easily but always miscarried.

In order to have a successful pregnancy, I had to stay on my met and add progesterone to support the baby.

    I now have a 4-yr-old daughter and a 10-month-old son.
