I made the mistake of my first time to the country club to drive golf balls wearing denim capris.. apparently denim is a no-no if you were actually playing. What should i wear? Khaki carpis and a collared polo.. can it be sleeveless? Are sneakers acceptable on the course? or do you have to wear golf shoes?

  1. It differs from course to course. On my home public course, I wear jersey shorts and a t-shirt if I want. On another course, I have to wear khaki shorts and a polos. A country club is going to be more strict so it is best to check with them before you go.

  2. my wife wears snorts( i hope I spell it right) it look like skirt and shorts together and always wea a top with a collar on it I no fashion person but I used to caddy  (7 Years)

  3. mostly a polo which could be sleeveless, and khaki capris or shorts sneakers are usually acceptable but golf shoes would be better

  4. How about a bikini and spike high heels?

    Hubba hubba.

  5. I've been to many Country clubs throughout the west coast and believe me the attires vary, but one this that is common among all of them is the clean cut look regardless of men or women. Depending on the weather of course, I see a lot of the women wearing Capri pants or dress shorts with sleeveless collard polo style shirts (color coordinated!) I also see some of the younger women wearing skorts (shorts that look like skirts) with nice bright colored polo shirts. They look good!!!!

Regardless of what you decide to where, remember that T- shirts are not allowed, No denims of any kind, NO tank tops. Its not against CC's dress to wear sneakers but wearing golf shoes would definitely help with your golf game. Just wear something you would wear when you are going to meet your significant others parents on a nice warm summer day, clean cut and presentable.  The dress code at country clubs are not only for the members but also it represents the quality of the country club and the members who pay a lot of money to become a member.

  6. Depends on your body type. Some women should wear more cloths. If your cutie and slim you can wear anything you are comfortable in.As far as the shoes---Golf shoes will help your game but not necessary

  7. Just to be safe, I would definitely wear khaki Capri's, pants, or shorts. Many courses don't accept cargos (pockets on the side) or two short of shorts. (more than an inch above the knee) At most places, tennis shoes are fine. Also, you can almost always wear a sleeveless collared top. You could also wear some of those trendy plaid bermuda shorts! I hope I helped! (You may also be able to go to the course's website. or if there is one, look in the handbook for a dress code.) :)

  8. It certainly depends on the course, but I'm assuming you are talking about a private club.  If so, you should stay on the conservative side, whether you are a "cutie" or not, after all, you are an invited guest.  Sleveless - NO, sneakers - NO, collar - ABSOLUTELY, cargo pants/shorts - NO, men - shorts need to be no more than 2 inches above the knee, women - shorts need to be longer than fingertips from arms hanging down the side.  Hope this helps
