I am soon going to join a womans open age rugby league team. I have grew up with rugby as a big part of my life (family participate + all that... you know lol) + I have played it myself for many years. It's just, I played on a boys rugby league team when I was younger, + a normal girls team a few years ago. I was just wondering if open age for women has different rules then boys + girls. Plz help... I'm quite nervous lol. + what should I expect? Are most of the players well built, tall, muscley etc. (it's just, i'm quite small lol) Thanks

  1. My ex girlfriend plays open age rugby and its pretty similar the world over i think.  In open age, you'll have two or three big players on each team and then everyone else is the same size.  In women's rugby, everyone goes running and trains with the team but nobody takes it seriously enough to go and work out every day amd try and get huge, its just for fun.  Women's rugby league even more so than women's rugby because there's nowhere for female league players to go (eg black ferns, womens nationals etc.)
