  1. I was a undecided voter that voted for Clinton

i was leaning to obama( tears) even if i didnt like him

    i wasnt crazy about either

    i will now vote McCain/Palin 2008 ( fact )

  2. No Way...I repeat NO WAY.

Oh, and for the record...I am one of those undecided Clinton supporters that is supposed to be "flocking to Palin." Not a chance of that. Voting for McCain because of his VP choice would be a step back rather than a step forward for women in the United States.

I'm switching my allegiance to Obama-Biden. At least Biden has experience and has actually worked FOR women.

  3. the 44-year-old Palin, who was selected as Sen. John McCain's running mate today, is now the focus of her own state ethics investigation as part of the so-called "Troopergate" scandal, a bizarre controversy involving the firing of a state police chief and his reluctance to fire an Alaska state trooper, Palin's former brother-in-law who has been involved in a bitter custody fight with her younger sister.

  5. maybe, but I also think some men will not vote for the ticket because she is a woman, and because she is not ready to defend this country.

I am not saying it is right, but people voted against Hillary because she was a woman, and against Barack because he is black, so it would not surprise me

  6. I would think so.  Palin is a mother and other mothers can relate to her.  She also has a son in the military, again, mothers in her position can relate to her.  Besides all that, she has proven to be strong and willing to fight for what she believes is right even if that means a battle within her own party.  Add to all that the fact that she could be the first female VP, and I would think women will consider that too.  My daughter is voting for the first time in her life in this election, I think it's great that she may well vote in the first woman to hold that office.

  7. Nope, he's dug a deeper hole for himself.

  8. No, I don't think so. I think several of the undecided women include Hillary supporters, and if they liked Hillary for her poilitical views then they definitely will not be fans of Palin's far-right views. And like a previous poster stated, there are still several men who won't vote for McCain/Palin because they don't want a woman anywhere near the presidency. I think it makes for a very interesting race, but I think it was a pretty risky move on McCain's part.

  9. Agreed, Great Balance for the 'Ticket', and a Great 'Fresh' Look...!!

  10. It is possible that some undecided women will switch to McCain.  Some say they will not because of the abortion issue, but if the were so pro-choice they would have been for Obama already.  Not all women vote on the issue of abortion.  Some are ambivalent or softly pro-life.

  11. As a man, I was rather luke warm to McCain and my wife was down right chilly.  Now both my wife and are are 100% McCain/Palin backers.  With gusto!  On his own, McCain is a moderate who looks to the left a little too much, but this woman provides lot from  moderate to conservative.  She hails from a working class family and being that her husband still carries a union card, is a commercial fisherman and oilfield worker, I believe she is still in a working class family.  She practices what she preaches as evidenced by knowingly delivering her Downs baby,  she has taken on big oil and government corruption (including that in her own party), carries a gun, and is popular with Alaskans.  She has more executive experience in running a government than McCain, Biden, and especially Obama with his puny 145 days actually working in the Senate without authoring any legislation.   She has practiced fiscal responsibility in Alaska and as governor of Alaska has experienced environmental issues that Obama and Biden can't even imagine.  This woman is ready to be the vice president and if anything happens to McCain can step into the presidency and do as well as a peanut farmer or Chicago councilman  any day.  Read about her in the Alaska newspapers from before she was even considered as vp and you'll know why Obama and his camp are running scared.

  12. I know they will!

On a well known Hillary Clinton message board, the majority of women on there are already planning on voting for McCain!

I originally wanted Romney, but the more I learn about Palin she was the perfect choice.  People are going to say it's because she's a woman and he's just trying to get the womens votes.  But I think it's because she was just the best choice!

It's kinda ironic...Obama talks about "change" then picks someone that's been in politics forever and isn't about change.  But it's McCain that shows that he's ready for a change in Washington and actually picked someone that is smart, for the average people, and not afraid of anyone, and not the run of the mill politician!

  13. Very possible and I hope so.
